Tangible Bowen Therapy Results With Achilles Tendonitis
I very seldom remember to take before and after pictures. Many times, results are not really very physically apparent either so it's harder to measure via a picture.
In this case, the results are completely noticeable physically, and the change is like night and day.
Wednesday, June 2nd I left my graveyard shift early due to a great deal of pain in my right ankle. I wear steel-toed boots with a high ankle, so there was no way for me to see what was going on.
When I got home, I assessed my ankles and established that my right ankle was a bit swollen, so I iced it and went to sleep.
That same evening, after I woke up, my ankle was very stiff and still sore and I had a very odd sensation of friction when I walked. So I took a very close look, and this is what I discovered:
As you can see, my right ankle/Achilles has a very pink raised area. These were taken the day before I did any Bowen Therapy treatment on it at all.
Thursday, after chatting with a colleague of mine about the best course of treatment, I performed two Bowen Therapy procedures and then I waited for my body to finish responding. What I felt for the next 10 minutes or so was sharp stabbing pain, some throbbing sensations and then nothing after the 10 minutes.
Shortly after the treatment I did, I went to bed. When I got up in the morning I realized the feeling of friction in my Achilles when I walked was gone, so I took a good look at my ankle, and discovered that not only was the pain and irritation gone, but most of the red bump was also gone:
As you can see, the red bump is barely there anymore.
I'm sure you are wondering how Achilles Tendonitis occurs, and so that will be another post for another day. I am very thankful I was able to use Bowen therapy to help my body heal an acute injury. I am also very thankful the Achilles did not rupture or tear.
